ok so i know i havent posted in a loooong time, my apologies. but time has been FLYING by. the fact that we are so busy probably doesnt help... but it is what it is. and i seriously cannot belive its already mid july!!
lauren turned 5months this past friday - she's getting so big! in a nutshell i'm trying to think of her changes & landmark... here are some:
- she's gotten REALLY good at playing w/ things in her hands. she loves putting her nook in her mouth herself.
- she now (knock on wood) is pretty consistant at sleeping through the night, on her tummy, in her crib... YAY LITTLE GIRL! and mommy and daddy like this too :)
- she keeps getting stronger: is liking tummy time more, using her arms to prop herself up AND finally rolling from her tummy to her back (altho i have yet to witness this, heath has seen her do it multiple times).
- we are feeding her rice cereal at night and she loves lvoes that. hopefully soon we'll try feeding her some veggies and fruits.
- as of the beginning of july i am no longer breastfeeding her (or pumping). i was very sad about this for awhile (i sort of miss that time w/ her)...but am fine w/ it now. and, in all reality, its a little more "convenient".
- lauren's hair is growing in and getting longer! altho we like to call her "come over baby" because she's got the cutest natural left part that makes her baby hair look like a combover!
- she looooves to babble and talk. she's pretty much got down her "m's" and "d's"... (there is a video on facebook) altho its not intentional. we think we're going to work on her "l's" next :)
on other notes... we are moving along w/ wedding stuff... i cannot believe it's right around the corner (just over 3months away)!!! on saturday we took THREE HOURS (ugh!) to register at target. it was actually a lot of fun, but took way more time than we thought. lauren was quite the trooper and did SO good the whole time we were there :)
i got a new job closer to home and will start in two days! today is my last day at stout, and it is definitely bittersweet. i will really miss it here, especially for my work bff and good friend kelly!! she seriously has been the joy and lifesaver of this job! i will MISS HER SOOOO MUCH!!!!! thankfully i'll be doing admissions at my new job and hopefully we will be able to schedule some things together and/or see each other at fairs :) but, i am grateful for this new job and am really looking forward to having a new job. the staff seems really really nice and im excited for the challenge of a new job :) so, we shall see! PLUS i will get a little more morning time w/ lauren, woooot wooooooooo!!
well thats all i have for now! love to you all :)

daddy's girl
yesterday lauren & heath celebrated their first fathers day!!! ...granted, a year ago when we headed to brewster for heath's family's annual family reunion, we told them we were going to have a baby... this year is the one that counts :)
yeah we headed down to brewster to be with heath's family... everyone was there so that was a lot of fun. its always a little bitcrazy, too. but we all have a good time. sat we golfed down in iowa. actually, i dont mean "we", heath golfed and i watched. actually "watched" as in drank. honestly i havent drank that much since before i was pregnant w/ lauren. it was a good time, but i wasnt feeling so hot later that night!! then that evening we all went out for dinner to celebrate jay &beth's 35 wedding anniversary (it was last nov, so we were a lil late but it was fun).
sun we all headed back down to iowa and had a big potluck picnic w/ the baumgard side. i obviously dont know that many people, but there were some familiar faces. and lauren did such a good job! she was cute and fun.... and jsut was a great traveler all weekend :)
prior to heading down to be w/ heath's family -- lauren had her 4 month appointment. she got her shots and we found out she is 25 1/4" long and 14lbs 15oz. she is still very long and skinny for her 4months age group. she's happy and healthy and developing at or above her age. and yes, we are the proud parents! she is such a joy and gets more fun each day. oh, and she's starting to eat a TON! last night she at 8oz within an hour before bed. but hey, i dont mind... if she's full b4 bed, then she only wakes up once to get fed and changed. so not too bad?!
anyway, another work week. next week my mom will be in town. we dont have daycare that week so my mom's gonna come and chill lil l during the week. so that should be fun!!! getting a much needed haircut on saturday...im excited and nervous. so, we shall see :)

time is flying by!! really, june?!
well lauren continues to grow and develop! she's loving being able to rollover and does so all the time! its sad that i dont get to spend a lot of time with her during the week, but fortunately heath does. at any rate, she's starting to develop other small things, such as...
- she takes her nookie out with her hand, quite often, and sometimes "intentionally" puts it back in. altho im pretty sure, that's mostly an accident
- she talks and smiles constantly. my fave time with her is in the moring b/c shes so cheery and smiley.
- since she's figured out rolling over, she's getting to like being on her tummy more. she's figured out how to use her arms mor and therefore holds her head up higher.
- she also kicks around in that "i wanna crawl soon" sort of fashion. she's got strong little legs. and altho i'm sure i'll be eating my words later, we're excited for her to crawl, walk and talk!!!!
- much to my dismay, lil l has been getting 1/2 formula and 1/2 breastmilk. i know this is totally fine, ijust am struggling to keep producing milk. work really has impacted that!!
- she continues to love book time w/ daddy. and heathjust got her some new toys last night. they played with them this morning and i guess she really likes those as well. she is just becoming more and more fun!! ...if you know what i mean :)
but all in all our little girl is happy and healthy. and we LOVE HER SO MUCH!! its weird to think that just over a year ago i found out i was pregnant. and now she's her. such a blessing and miracle :) :) we are so lucky to have her. gosh, i just love her SO MUCH!!
on an "un-baby" note, wedding planning is progressing. the most exciting part is that last week i got my wedding dress! i ordered it may 1, it came in may 15...and i picked it up june 3. and i looove it! it'll need alterations (and i need to lose more weight), but i am soooo glad i got this 2nd dress. i feel beautiful in it and hopefully heath will too. now all i have to get are my veil & headpiece, (ive always wanted a long cathedral veil), shoes and jewelry. so fun :)

movement milestone
it's official... lauren rolled over, on her own (after about a week of avid trying), this past tuesday (6/1) in the evening. both heath and i were with her,so we both got to see it! i dont think either of us could have been more proud! esp knowing how hard she had been trying (and seeing how frustrated a little baby can get) the past week. lauren too was pretty proud of herself! and now, even though its only been a few days, she's rolling over like a pro. just w/ more ease and a lot faster. it's so cute!!!! anyway here is a pic (sorry its a lil blurry) of her after she rolled over! she's just so happy w/ herself!! we love her, go little lauren go!!!

scoot, wiggle & roll
so miss l has been quite the mover and shaker lately... and we think she'll figure out crawling pretty soon. when put on her tummy she now holds her head up pretty high and moves her legs in a crawling-like way. she hasnt yet figured out what to do w/ her arms, though (picture 1). when on her back she'll use her feet to scoot up along the floor. so she'll move from point a to point b pretty quickly (picture 2). also, lately, she has been flipping onto her left side, in efforts to get on her belly (picture 3). ill find her that way in her crib & heath says she does that a lot on her toy mat. he also told me this morning she sqealed in frustration that she couldnt roll over! she keeps both knees bent and her hands by her mouth so her left leg/arm is in the way. but, like i say, we have a feeling sh'ell figure it out soon!! anyway its cute to see her starting to move and making progress. she's a strong little girl & has been from the start! so, maybe we're in for a real "treat" once she moves, but its exciting to think she's developing and growing so that she can move!! and really, its very very cute. we are so proud of her! :) :) here are some pictures...

hot hot hot
so i know its BARELY summer (actually is it even tech summer yet?) anyway, already lauren cant stand being hot. she gets super fussy & stressed out. the other night we had a MAJOR melt down and didnt know what was wrong. so we gave her a cool bath, put her only in a diaper and rocked her to sleep downstairs. we havent turned the air on yet but might have too. we shall see. it's interesting b/c my mom said when i was little id get so hot and sweaty at night and hated it. and even now, i cant STAND being hot. itsthe worst!!
also, i got home from work yesterday and found out that the daycare lady ran out of breastmilk(she does 1/2 and 1/2) for lauren at the end of the day, so she made her a full 4.5oz bottle of just formula and lauren sucked down the whole thing! i actually am surprised by this. i would have thought she wouldnt like pure formula. but its good toknow she'll eat it if she has to. but we'll still try to give her both as long as we can!

our first mother's day
i know this post is alittle late, but better late than never! this past sunday was my first mother's day and it was very special!!! we didnt do too much, but that was in itself great! we are all so busy during the week, its just nice to relax and be a family.
i got cards from heath, lauren and my parents...all of which, brought tears to my eyes for different reasons! heath & lauren got me a joe mauer twins jersey, which i love!! he also got me a cute lil vikings hoodie. which isnt too think but not too girlie either. lauren made a pot w/ her footprints at daycare. it said "happy 1st mother's day" and has babies breath planted in it :) she also got a onesie that says "i love mom", which she wore on that day, see picture. i dont particularly care for "me" in this pic b/c i have not makeup on... but how cute does lauren look, just a cute little smile! love it :)
heath also made us dinner that night and we just hung out. lauren went to bed pretty easy so then heath and i just got to hang out. it was a simple but really relaxed and very special mother's day. one i'll remember forever! :) i love my little girl so much!!! and i love heath so much!!! we are quite the little family :) <3

good night? great night!
1.) let it be known, lauren officially slept through the night last night!!! we put her down around 9pm and she slept until 530am!!! which, technically is now our "wake-up/morning" time. so YAY!! (even tho this is a first, lauren has been sleeping for about 6hrs straight for the past 4-6weeks. which has been nice. but this is still so fun to realize! another baby milestone!!)
2.) last night heath and i got to have a 'movie night". something we havent done at all since lauren was born, and it is/was one of our favorite pastimes! we watched "the blind side", which is very good & i highly recommend it.
3.) i was officially in bed at 11pm and feel right to sleep! the week & all the commuting hours really gets me exhausted during the week, so sleeping from 11pm until 7am was FABULOUS!!
anyway, three great things about last night :)

my baby's daddy
so i know this blog has been/is supposed to be about my baby...but i need to write quick about heath, and how much i love him.,.....
he really is the love of my life and i love him so much! its weird to think we've only known each other as long as we have, because (in a good way) it feels like ive known him forever. i am so so lucky to have him in my life, and especially now that we have lauren! he is a wonderful father and already i know how much lauren knows and loves him too!! it actually is really hard when he is away...be it a day or a week or more! we both are just so excited when he comes home.
its such a great but unexplainable feeling how much i love him, and the fact that i know and feel how much he loves me. i know people may not believe me, especially since we found out we were going to have lauren pretty early in our relationship, but i knew he was the one for me within the first week that i knew him. he's all i need and more, and i couldnt do all that i do with out him. i know this is cheesy but i CANNOT wait to spend the rest of my life with him!
anyway, the reason i wanted to write is because yesterday i had one of the worst days ive had in awhile. honestly individually each issue wasnt that bad... just the combination of them all and the fact that i am so tired really got to me. yep, i practically had a meltdown at work (thanks kelly for listening to me vent, you rock!!). but the day passed and got a little better, i just couldnt wait to get home.... and when i did, heath surprised me w/ the most wonderful card (saying how much he loves me) and my favorite cake (red velvet) from kowalski's. plus he made dinner (tater tot hotdish - soooo good!) for us that night! what he did was just so unexpected and was such an act of love that it totally made up for my bad day. how lucky am i? he is just so wonderful!!!! so with a few tears i kissed him and thanked him and told him i love him... this is just what i needed.
anyway, ill stop gushing about him. but... i love him. with all my heart and soul... he is my everything. he is laurens everything. and we are both truly lucky ladies. :)
we love you heath!! xoxo

got milk?
so i hope this isnt a "TMI Post', but i think its going to be.
lauren is doing well. she continues to be a happy smiley baby. she loves "playing on her back" and w/ a few toys, talking/babbling & sticking out her tongue. i cant remember if i mentioned this before or not, but shes also making movements like she wants turnover. i dont think she will for awhile but its still cute to watch.
lately ive been struggling w/ keeping up a milk supply for lauren. i guess being at work can really affect this for some women, and im finding i am one of those! so just yesterday we had the daycare lady give lauren half milk and half formula. because of this, her eating/digestion schedule is now alittle off.... and i feel horrible. i was really REALLY hoping i could breastfeed/pump+bottle feed her until she was at least 6months and she's only 11weeks as of yesterday. honestly, i feel likei am failing my child. im drinking a ton of water, trying to eat more and not having caffine (all things ive heard help increase milk supply), but nothing has worked so far! i am so devistated and frustrated!!!!
ive been a bit stressed out lately, about a lot of things. i normally dont freak out about things in general, but im finding i am just so tired lately. and historically fatigue with stress isnt a great thing. nothing too major, but a lot of little things that have been weighing on my heart and mind. but honestly, i am just to tired (emotionally/physically) to figure them out. BUT itll get better, ill be better.... it always gets better.

little lauren landmarks
well miss l is now 10 weeks, crazy right? she gets bigger and changes so much each day, its wonderful (and a lil sad) at the same time. being back to work has been tiring... mainly b/c i have to get up so early and then drive 1:15hr to work, work 8-430, drive 1:15hr back home then take care of baby. which im happy about b/c i miss her so much...but the days are long and it seems sleep (though solid) never lasts long enough. but, these are the sacrifices i make for my child & in order to have a job!which, are two very important things!!!
well a few "major" or exciting things have happend with lauren the past week or so. on saturday (4/24/10), while i was out wedding dress shopping with my mom, heath told me that lauren laughed for the first time. he said it was super cute, which im sure it was!! i guess she was on her changing table post new diaper and was talking up a storm (btw she talks a lot while on her changing table and on her floor mat/toy).... heath started baby talking with her and got lots of smiles, "talking" and then a big ole baby laugh!
then on sunday (4/25/10) while playing on her mat, she actually was moving like she was gonna flipover. she moved so much that she got her legs all caught up in the toy part (see pic to the right)...it was really cute yet interesting at the same time! oh and she also is sleeping in her crib all night, yay! this started this past week as well. i think she likes it b/c she's not all scrunched up like she was in her pack& play. but she moves around duringthe night too. she'll wake up and be 90* to the right from where she started haha. so she's definitely a mover!
and then yesterday (4/27/10) i got her to laugh. it was just as cute as heath discribed it. i dont think she laughed for me as long as she did with heath, but it still melted myheart! ALSO, we've noticed the past few days shes been sticking out her tongue quite a bit! like she'll be smiling and talking and then sticking out her cute skinny lil baby tongue... so cute! i know everything she does we think its cute, but seriously, so so cute!!!
well thats all the updates i have for now. im trying to keep up w/ posting. but seriously when i get downtime, ijsut dont feel like doing anything. so, my apologies in advance ;) but know miss l is growing and changing a lot, and is the cutest happiest lil baby ever!! we love her so much!

two down, three to go
monday (first day back to work, laurens' first day @ daycare):
- i definitely shed some tears when i dropped her off. lauren was super happy monday morning...all smiles and lots of talking. which is better than crying, but made it hard for me to leave her. i love how much she smiles and talks. and the thought of missing that broke my heart.
tuesday (today... three more days, three more days!):
- woke up, oddly refreshed. dropped lauren off w/ no tears!
random: this is a picture of what heath and i call lauren's "sad/pouty" face. i know she's usually upset or whiny about something, but seriously, this is the cutest face ever! her little lip sticks out, she gets a huge frown & her big beautiful eyes get so sad! we call it her "grinch baby face"... b/c if youve ever seen the real people version of "the grinch movie" w/ jim carrey.... this face reminds us of the part when the grinch is a baby, sitting in its highchair, throwing a hissy fit. obviously lauren is 100 TIMES cuter than that green creature... but she really does look like the grinch baby! :)i jsut love my baby so much!!! and she's just so so so so cute. i know im biased, but really, how did that happen? ahh, we're lucky...and we know it!
xoxo

- throughout the rest of the day i thought of her a lot and teared up a few times...but made it through the day!! plus i have a lot of 'catch up' work stuff, so that kept me busy! plus people kept talking to me & of course i didnt mind talking about my baby!!
- when i picked lauren up she was sleeping. dove (our daycare provider) said lauren "did so so good" that day. only a little fussing. she napped a few times, ate four times & had plenty of diaper changes. so that made me happy that lauren had a good first day.
- once we got home, i realized HOW exhausted i was AND how exhausted lauren was. she normally goes to sleep b/w 830 and 930pm, last night she fell asleep at 745!! out like a log! then woke up at 230am, fell right back asleep & then woke up today (tue) at 6am. so she really did have a busy first day.
- dove said she was a good girl and that she enjoys taking care of her, which of course makes me happy. i know there will be *rough & tough* days for lauren (and heath & i) but its nice to know she's off to a good start!tuesday (today... three more days, three more days!):
- woke up, oddly refreshed. dropped lauren off w/ no tears!
- today has been fine. of course i think of her and miss her A LOT, but iknow she's in a good place. im just hoping today is a "good day" too.
- i cannot wait to leave and pick her up! (yeah im @ work, naughty of me...but i wanted to write this update quick!!!)
random: this is a picture of what heath and i call lauren's "sad/pouty" face. i know she's usually upset or whiny about something, but seriously, this is the cutest face ever! her little lip sticks out, she gets a huge frown & her big beautiful eyes get so sad! we call it her "grinch baby face"... b/c if youve ever seen the real people version of "the grinch movie" w/ jim carrey.... this face reminds us of the part when the grinch is a baby, sitting in its highchair, throwing a hissy fit. obviously lauren is 100 TIMES cuter than that green creature... but she really does look like the grinch baby! :)xoxo

TWO MONTHS OLD!
so lauren is two months old today, and therefore had her "two month check up". today was vaccine day, so there were a few tears. but all in all, our baby was a rockstar!! she even had to have an x-ray done (ill explain later) and she rocked it through that w/ only a few tears! (mom & dad did well too, i thought i might get a little emotional, and i didnt. i held it together for our lil baby girl!)
-here are her 2mo stats: lauren now weighs 12lbs 1oz (85%), is 24.5" long (97% - tall/long girl!!!!), and her head is 15.25" (50%). she started at 7lbs 9oz and 20" long... cant remember her head size. but according to the growth charts, she's right on track!!!! :)
-these are the vaccinations she got: Pentacel A, Hep B (2nd shot), PCV7, and Rotavirus... the doc explained them all, but i dont feel like going there.
-he also suggested i supplement lauren's milk w/ "tri vi sol" vitamin once a day. its a combo of vits A C & D. i guess babies sometimes dont get enuf vit D or the others. so, we'll start that!
-lauren had to have an xray of her neck b/c she tends to "look/turn" more towards her right side. doc said she has the muscle ability to look/turn left but since she doesnt do it "willingly" he just wanted to check. he isnt too worried but would rather scope it out now. so we'll find out about that w/in the next few days.
again, lauren did very well, and we'll go back to the doc in another two months.... time will continue to fly by!!!!!! *great job lauren, we love you!!!*

surprise, surprise....
just a quick update......
lauren's baptism weekend went well. it was busy and sometimes chaotic, but good. we had lots of friends and family in town, which was very special: both my grandparents came jack & mom and dad; my good friends liz (flew in from philly) and andrea (took a bus up from milwaukee); heath's parents; and his two sisters and their families.
also on saturday some of us girls went over to the wedding shoppe in saint paul for our bridesmaid dress appointment. we did pick out a dress and color and placed orders (yay!!). if you're curious, here is the dress (the color is "claret", so a darker red. not maroon, not wine, just a darker red...its quite pretty): http://www.weddingshoppeinc.com/pr/Alfred-Angelo-6493/3199/6475
but the biggest surprise of the "weekend/early week" is that we put lauren in her own room for the first night monday night. not only did she do just fine, she slept from 930pm til 530am!!!!! then last night (tue night) she did 830pm to 230am, 300am to 500am, and then woke up around 7am for the day. so not bad!!!! i know this is cliche, but she's already growing up so fast!! :( she's our good, perfect little girl!!!!! way to go lauren :)
well thats all i got for now. gonna enjoy today through fri and the weekend before i go back to work. (yah i made a mistake before... i start the 19th not the 12th.)

bullet point post
- lauren's first easter was a success! she traveled like a champ as we went to and from green bay AND to and from brewster!!! she got to meet new family member: paul, cindy, tom & ken (from my side) and great grandparents marv & betty and great grandma wing (from heath's family). a lot of driving but an all around great weekend.
- this wkend will be BUSY! lauren is baptized on sunday!!!!! so lots of family in town sat thru sun. ALSO my bff-sff liz will be in town from philly and my lovely girlie andrea will be in town from milwaukee. theyre here to see the house, meet heath & lauren & do some wedding stuff!! so w/ those two and heath's two sisters we'll be doing a few girlie wedding things saturday morning, should be fun.
lauren & my "mom& baby class" ended yesterday. it was a 6wk class that met once a week for 1.5hrs. it was nice to get out of the house, meet other new moms & just talk about baby stuff. we're all first time moms so that was nice! (picture of all the babies posted on left)- i got back to work on monday. i am NOT looking forward to that and i know heath isnt either. although we really like our daycare provider... and in home lady named dove. she's really really nice, lives close to use and only had three other kids (including one of her own)....so lauren will be in good hands. we both just have to get used to the idea of her being w/ someone else all day AND missing us!
- on wed night heath& i went on our first date since lauren was born. our friend lynne babysat from 6-9 so we could go out. i didnt cry, but i did miss lauren while we were gone. BUT it was SOOOO nice just to be with heath & enjoy HIM! we had a lovely dinner at murray's in downtown minneapolis! spendy but well worth every penny!! hopefully we'll have more date nights to come!!! :)

friday cant come soon enuf!!
mid friday we will be heading to green bay for easter! so lauren has a big weekend coming up! it'll be her first trip to green bay and a long one at that (5hrs!). so hopefully she'll sleep most of it and we'll only have to stop two times at the most.
but i am excited to be home! yes ive seen my family a good amount, but i havent been home since november!!! the main reason for being home will be celebrating easter (we'll be there fri night thru sun night), but itll be nice to relax and hopefully see some friends too! my hs friend stephanie who currently lives in englad is home (and i'm hoping to see her quick); and then my friend heather who has a one year old and our friend laura. wehopefully will see them on sat evening, but with a baby, we have to be flexible! oh, and hopefully the weather will be nice!!
after returning to mn sun night, on mon morn we'll get up and head to brewster to see heath's family (primarily his grandparents) until tuesday afternoon. so when i say a big weekend for lauren, i mean it! lots of travel time and new people/places to see. i hope she does well! she usually does, but i can tell she gets tired and overstimulated. she's a trooper, but i understand she just needs quite time... especially w/ mom and dad!
i had my "6wk check-up" this past monday. everything looks good! the doc said i was lucky b/c i didnt have any stitches or damage "down there"... i guess that is rare for first babies, so i am lucky!!! i am just glad to be back to normal (even tho i felt that way since week 4ish). i will be going on "the mini pill" b/c, though we want more kids, we def dont want another baby too soon!!!! oh, and i got the OK to start exercising & stuff. so hopefully i can start running again soon :) i did find out i weigh 141lbs (which is already 30lbs less than what i weighed before lauren was born)...so that means i only have about 15lbs (which would put me at 126lbs) to lose before november, which i think is do-able. i can do it!!!!! :) :)
this past sunday heath and i went to the wedding expo. it was pretty quick but we got three things checked off our list. it was fun to walk around, enter our names in for prizes and just "do the wedding thing"... i mean its the only time we'll do it!
but, for an update, here is what we have done:
- date and church reserved
- reception hall booked
- catering compnay figured out
- dj and photographer booked
- great deal on tuxes via men's warehouse
- i made a wedding website
things we have to do:
- figure out flowers/center pieces
- cake? yes/no? what else could we do?
- dresses (me & bridesmaids)
- figure out invitations, etc
- transportation (limo, coach bus?)
- schedule of the day and ceremony particulars
....other than that, it'll just be little things here and there. we 220 days or just over 7 months, so for most of it we've got time. im not worried, but at the same time i think the time will fly by.... so then again, maybe i should be?!
ok well thats all i have for now. heath left for work early and lauren is sleeping (knock on wood) so im gonna enjoy some alone time :)

smile baby smile
so lauren has been "smiling" for awhile. id say since week three she's been smiling unintentionally... like while sleeping, eating or just looking at random things. we've tried to capture a few smiles on camera but have been rather unsuccessful. however, this week she's been gradually smiling more and it seems like we can "get her to smile" by making faces, touching her face or talking to her. BUT this morning she was alllll smiles. so i think it's ok to say, as of today, lauren has officially "found her smile"!!! which is exciting and SO cute. ok that's all i have to write for today. :)

Hello, My Name is Lauren
Name: Lauren Elizabeth
DOB: February 16th, 2010
Favorite food: Boob juice, of course. I'm a good eater! I've gained weight like I"m supposed to &have acquired some chubby cheeks!
Favorite color: Pink, really it's my only option!
Favorite place: Inside Mom or Dad's arms (or anyone's). I love being held!!
Favorite TV show: I like to watch ESPN with Dad in the mornings.
Favorite music: My "lullaby" playlist I listen to every night before bedtime. It even puts M&D to sleep...and fast!!!
Favorite toy: I dont do the toy thing quite yet. But I am rather fond of my swing. It's my "bed"... I sleep right next to my parents each night. And I'm not looking forward to sleeping away from them. But I have a feeling its coming soon!!
Favorite activity: Carrides!! I fall asleep at the drop of a hat.
When are you the most alert? - The mornings! I love to have "tummy time" and/or lay on my back and either look outside or watch the TV.
Do you prefer to be inside or outside? - Well I'm inside a lot but I love looking out the window. AND Mommy and I have started going on walks when its warm enough and I love it!!
Do you like to get wet? - As in "baths"?... No, not at all. I scream my lungs off. If I'm in a good mood I enjoy the end of bathtime, but typically its a battle b/w me & Mom/Dad....they always win.
Would you consider yourself a calm/quiet person or an active person? - A little of both, but probably more on the active side.
Random Fun Facts
- I love my hands! I dont like them being restricted and I love when people hold them.
- I am a pretty good sleeper. Now (5wks) I sleep about 3.5-4.0hrs at a time.... which my parents love.
- I am quite the "talker". I make tons of little noises and smile randomly at things. I have a cute smile, by the way!!!
- I dont like to burp after being fed which makes me quite the gassy baby! Oh, and I get hiccups often & easilly.
- I know my parents call me "Diva" and "DQ" (drama queen) behind my back. I'm happy/content one second and the next can be screaming/crying about nothing. (But, I'm a pretty happy baby most of the time.)
- I am not much of a day napper. Mom tries to help me out w/ that via walks and/or carrides. But I get pretty tired by the end of the day..... which ultimately helps me sleep pretty good at night! :)
