30 down, 10 to go!

so as of today i am 30wks along.... so that means i only have 10 more to go!!!!! and like i always say, its gonna go fast! especially with the holiday... my bday... and all the baby showers we are having (4 total i think).

this past weekend was tday wkend... and a much needed 4day wkend!!!! we were in brewster w/ heath's family wed night through fri morn, then came back to the cities b/c my mom & dad where here fri night through sun morning.... it was nice to be able to do both!

time is flying by, but things are sort of falling into place. altho, yes we have a lot to do!.... and it looks as though 2010 is going to be  a BIG year!
1. heath closed on the house today so we will be moving and doing the whole "new home owner" thing in jan 2010. things like carpet, remove wall paper,take down a wall, put in hardwood flooring are a few of the initial things we'll be doing!
2. several baby showers in january (and one on dec).... which will be fun!!! :)
3. little baby b will be born sometime in early february!!!!!   *AND*
4. we've "officially" set a wedding date: november 6, 2010... so that's exciting!

today i had a doc appt, and things still are going well! i passed my glucose test, so no gestational (sp?) diabetes for me or baby b, which is good! i am officially FAT!... im not saying how much but i cant believe how much wt i've already gained, puke. the baby's heartbeat was at 145bpm and i also go my h1n1 vaccine. now that im 30wks i'll have a few appointments every 2wks then its every week. along w/ everything else going on, i think that will make time feel like its flying by!!!!

well thats all i got for now. lil baby b continues to grow and move and make me hungry all the time.... which, ultimately is a good thing!

baby 101

so this past tues heath &i had our first (of 6) "birthing & parenting" classes... and let me tell you.... THISis going to be an experience!!

first of all, we might just be the most normal couple there. i try not to judge people, but seriously, there was some weird stuff going on!

but about the class. i learned a lot but both of us almost got sick! we didnt enjoy (yet benefitted from) the birthing video, epidural (sp?) talk & the fact that one can "tear" down there. EEK!

i have always thought i would do an epidural, but now im not sure. i think what im giong to do is go in open minded. i guess its good to try to make it to 5cm+ b4 getting the epidural if possible. and if i can do that, i will consider that a victory! i just really hope the birth goes as well (knock on wood) as my pregnancy has so far.

this is kind of fun: some of heath & my "rep friends" are going to throw us a baby shower. not sure when yet, but that will be a lot of fun!!!! speaking of rep peeps... ive been doing the MnACC fairs all week. they've been fun, meeting new people & hanging w/ old! its been a good time.... i have tomorrow then the same fairs mon-wed before the holiday!

we will head to brewster for wed afternoon-fri morn then be back here. my parents will come fri afternoon until sun morning. it'll be nice to see both sides of the family. i will miss my brothers, but, i guess that's just the way its gotta be...... both are working!

anyway, not much else to say. im starving and am most likely going to get some icecream ;) yummmmmm... just in time for a new episode of "the office" :)

27 weeks

nothing major to update... the baby is growing & i know this b/c i am getting bigger AND am constantly hungry!! i really dont enjoy the feeling of wanting to eat all the time but i'd rather eat than deprive the baby and or be in pain b/c i'm just that hungry!

i'm 27 weeks today....according to our 2nd/corrected due date. here is an updated picture. there probably isnt much difference from two weeks ago, but i was bad w/ taking pictures in the beginning so now i want to make sure i take a picture every two weeks.

my favorite thing lately is laying on my back (typically right before bed) with my two hands on my belly (below my bellybutton) b/c i can feel her moving around! it seems like she moves more and more & the movements are stronger, which is cool. also, some of the movements i can actually see!! which is weird but kind of cool too!

my mom and my good friend tracy are going to plan a baby shower for me. which i am very thankful for and think will be fun. some days i still cant believe we're going to have a baby in three month & that i'm going to be a mom!!!.... planning things like this make it all the more real!

im in milwaukee this week for work. i have to make it through 4 more weeks of "travel" and then i'll be done. ...which i am looking forward to. however, that means i will be doing the daily eagan to menomonie (~ 150mi/day) december through january. which obviously im not a huge fan of. puke. but being done w/ travel season will be nice!

time to get serious

so, its november now! crazy right? well, time to buckle down and get a few more things "taken care of" off the "baby list".

i signed us up for "birth & parenting classes" through my clinic. the class runs 6 weeks (nov 10-dec 15) every tuesday from 630-9pm!! honestly, i cant believe each class is 2.5hrs.... i mean i know NOTHING about being a parent/caring for a baby (let alone "birthing" one)....but that sounds like a lot of time. i just hope its helpful!!

also we need to start looking for daycare. honestly, i think this si going to be more of a headache than i thought. i think we'd like to go w/ "in home" care vs a "center" but that might be hard to find. daycare is suuuper important, we want to find a great place that we can trust & agree with..... but damn, its gonna be spendy!! if you know if any good daycare providers or centers in the eagan area, let me know!

reason we want to stay in eagan... is b/c we got a house!!!! heath put in an offer last week and it has moved through w/ ease (as compared to his first house process)  ... . but really, i think its for sure. so, we will be in a house in eagan by the baby comes (altho moving and getting the house ready/fixed is gonna happen in late dec to early jan..... so cutting it close)!!!!!!!!! to say the least, we are excited :) :) :)

looks like my mom & friend tracy are giong to plan a baby shower for me/us. not sure on the date. the holiday season is approaching...then we're moving...then the due date is here. so little time to work with. but itll be fun and im just glad they're willing to help plan one for me! really, its quite cute :) plus i guess my co ladies at work are planning a little "work baby shower" for me on dec 18th, so that'll be fun too!

also, b/c i cant not say anything now.... heath & i got engaged a little under two weeks ago! it was quite cute...he asked me via carving pumpkins for halloween. he was very clever & sweet...... and of course i said "YES!". and, my ring is beautiful. its absolutely perfect... he did a great job!! but i would have loved anything he gave me!! :) we havent set a date, we are focusing on baby stuff right now. but i would imaging sometime in 2011. (i realize this is 1.5ish years away but A. i wanna look good and B. i want to save some $ for it.)

i had a short doc appt today. met my "dr." she was nice, kind of awkward, but nice. everything still was great; heard the baby's heart beat (160ish) and got weighed, ugh!! i also had a glucose test to make sure i havent developed gestational (sp?) diabetes. dont hve the results yet but i'll get word if i have.... altho i doubt it .

hmmm, i think that's all i have for an update. im on the road for work right now (in the dells) and my hotel room stinks like wet towel. i am at the point where i really miss being home & away from heath. thankfully my travel season is almost over.i just have to make it to the beg of december. then its "smooth sailing" throuhg december & most of january....then i'll be off & a new mommy. gahhh, time is gonna fly by! ....BUT i am excited for teh holiday season. honestly, its my favorite time of the year! ;)

New Pic: 25ish Weeks

Just a new picture... 25 weeks today.... Had to buckle down and buy some actual maternity clothes (mainly pants)!! I'm getting pretty round ;)....and I'm only gonna get bigger, ahhh!!!! ;) Oh, and she has been moving a LOT more lately. Yes there are points when she doesnt move (or I cant feel her), but lately, she's been quite the lil mover in there!!
