Baby Belly

A late posted picture of my early baby stomach. This was taken Aug 18, 09... approximately 17 weeks or just over 4months along. (EDIT 10/26/09: according to our new due date, feb 9th-ish, this would be more like 15wks, so just under 4 months along.)

I am now approx 23 weeks and just under 6months through. The time is going by fast!!!! Like it or not! ;)

Baby Letter

So when Heath and I were trying to figure out ways to tell our families that we are going to have a baby, Heath oh so cleverly came up with the idea of writing letters to each of our family members "from the baby". I thought this was very creative and cute of him to think of. We told his family first (Father's Day wkend in June) and then my family in Mid July (July 10-12 wkend). Anyway, Heath surprised me w/ my own letter from the baby. This letter (typed exactly how I got it) brought me to tears and is something I will cherish forever... one b/c it's from the baby... aka Heath. I have a hard copy but wanted to put it here in case that one gets lost or damaged. I know I'm cheesy but I cherish stuff like this!

Dear Mommy

I am writing to you to introduce myself! Soon I will meet you in person!! Just a few things first... I know I was not planned but I am still a miracle!! I know my Daddy already love's me and will give me the love and support that I will need, but right now can you give him the love and support hemight need till I get here?! And I know he will do the same for you! Don't tell him this but I love him with every beat of my heart already!! And of course I love you too Mommy!

I really can't wait to meet you Mommy!! I met Daddy in his dreams last week and he told me that you were the love of his life!! He also told me you were so kind, loving, caring and BEAUTIFUL!! I hope I get some of those traits!! He also told me he is scared, but you two are strong and will work through this together!! I know he isn't a big reader, but give him time.... he might surprise you!! I wanted to thank you for making me and being my Mommy!! I know things aren't going to be easy at time and sometimes you may want to get rid of me, but just know that we are all learning together and we will get through this!!

I hear I have a Grandma and Grandpa Hamersky!! I cant wait to meet them!! I know they dont know about me yet but I still love them!! I also can't wait to meet my Uncle Ben and Uncle Jack!!

Well I better get going...

I know I haven't met youo yet Mommy... But I LOVE YOU!!!

she's got the moves

so last night, around 10pm, right as i was laying in bed watching football and falling asleep, i felt the baby move for the first time! i wasnt sure w/ the first movement but then it happened several other times! i also gently moved/poked my belly to see if she would move more...and she did! it was a very weird feeling, but in an amazing way!!! then again this morning i could feel her moving slightly....not as obvious or as often, but i'm pretty sure she was moving again. anyway, just a lil milestone, but still very exciting! as of this past sunday im somewhere b/w 20 & 22 weeks along!!!! :) oh little baby b, i can tell she's already a lil mover & shaker! ....perhaps she'll be a lil dancer, just like her mommy!?

oh boy, what's a girl to do...

well.... on monday heath and i attended our 3rd baby appt and the 20wk ultrasound!!! everything appears to be good!! we got to see our baby... it moved around a lot (even though i couldnt feel it at all) as well as hear/see the heartbeat (around 160bpm). we walked away with several ultrasound pictures (which are amazing!) of baby's face, farm, foot and crotch. ...yes, we found out the sex too. we are expecting a little baby girl sometime b/w jan 25 and feb 9, 2010!!! knowing that the baby is a she and seeing her move around made this so much more real to me. now all i have to do is continue to eat and live as healthy as i can...and wait patiently until i can feel her move! we do have a name picked out (which i love even more now!) but that will remain a secret until she's born! and, if i do say so myself, its a lovely name! well, that's all for now! im just glad things are looking good and lil baby b is growing and doing well! xoxo

midpoint

So as of this past Sun, I am halfway thru Baby B's pregnancy! The time has been going fast (and I know the 2nd half will go just as if not faster)....but as real as this all is, for some reason it hasnt "hit me" hit me, you know?

This coming Mon (9/14) we go in for appointment #3 and the 20wk ultrasound to find out if Baby B is a he or a she! We are are pretty excited for this. I know some people like the sex to be a surprise, but I know I'm glad we're finding out. Let's just hope we can! And, of course, that Baby B is healthy and everything is going as planned :)

Not much else is new as far as baby things go… I think we’ll be able to “plan” more in a week from now. I know I shouldn’t be nervous, but I still haven’t been able to feel the baby at all. Heath was telling me that “first time moms” tend not to feel anything until b/w weeks 17-22…. But I still want to be able to feel the baby! And I’m sure it’s something I want now…and later it’ll be more like “Seriously, why does this kid move so much?!” Haha. But, I want to be able to feel him/her!

We do have names picked out, both for boy and girl. Im still unsure whether or not we’ll be keeping that part a secret or not, but I really really like the names we picked. I still feel like I’m “not ready” and/or “too young” to be a mother….but I am very excited and feel blessed. And like I’ve said before, I just hope I can do a good job. …But I guess, only time will tell. ;)

1.25.2010

random date? maybe. well, actually no....
so i think most people already know so i feel safe writing this (plus i think NO ONE) actually reads my silly lil blog. BUT...
in early june i found out that heath & i are going to have a baby!!! though quite the surprise we are both very excited (and of course nervous). both our families and good friends know, and also share our excitement. :)
jan 25th 2010 is my official due date, but as always, we'll see. as of this past sun i am 17 weeks along, so a little under "half way". crazy right? all i know is the next 23ish weeks are going to go by so fast. i just hope we are ready!!!
in addition to this new baby, i am in the process of moving to minnesota to be w/ heath. he is still waiting on his house (please keep him/that in your thoughts& prayers)... so i guess for the time being ill be w/ him in his townhouse apt in eagan. which is a nice place...... but obviously not his house. he has been so patient! we just want things to go through!!
but anyway its kinda crazy to think i'll be a mommy in just a few short months. in some ways i feel ready and other not, which i suppose is natural. but so far its been good, fun & (knock on wood) fairly easy, as far as my pregnancy has been. (i was lucky to have little to no "morning sickness", etc.) but everyday i just hope & pray for a happy/healthy baby!
in a few weeks (sep 14) we will have the 20wk ultrasound & appt so we (hopefully) will be able to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl!!! of course we both want a healthy baby...but like most dad's i think heath secretly wants a little boy. growing up ive always wanted boys too.....but even at the start of this pregnancy, i'vejust "had the feeling" that this baby is a girl. but, we will find out very soon :) we also have names picked out already, but will be keeping those a secret!! so in january or february you'll know officially who little baby baumgard will be!
not much else has gone on. we try to plan here and there. im getting things worked out at my job w/ HR and leave and such. we'll have to nail down daycare.... but other than that, it's still a "one day at a time" kinda strategy. oh, well we did start a registary this past weekend. just a few things for now, but it was still fun :)

a midsummer night's dream

it's half way through july... through summer?! NO EFFING WAY!? seriously, where has the time gone. things and life in general are just flying on by.

the weather has been weird. some really HOT/HUMID days, some mild days and a lot of "cool/cold" summer days. i guess i liek the variety, but my tan would like more intense rays days!

life is good right now. i am so so so in love and it's amazing. my boyfriend is so wonderful and i cannot imagine my life w/o him..... i am truly blessed. all i know is i cant wait to spend the rest of my life with him; his handsome face and loving heart. oh, and he makes me laugh!!

i still havent made it to a twins game. hopefully heath and i can go at some point. i jsut have really really gotten into baseball the past few years. sadly ihavent been to a twins game since college. this needs to change!

in a few wks is the hamersky family reunion then amanda's wedding. i'm def looking forward to both. seeing the fam, getting away....NOT WORKING!! what of that doesnt sound good?!

not much else to say for now. stay tuned for some big, exciting news! cant say what or when, but i'll share eventually! ;)

things that have been on my mind
1. holy $#!% is summer going by fast! it's already past "mid june" and the rest of my june is gonna fly by
2. my life, the past two months, has been a whirl wind. and things are only going to get a lot more exciting in the future
3. for the most part, im pretty sick of my iTunes music.... i need to do some research & make some purchases
4. i love my job and cannot wait for travel season this fall. yeah its a busy busy time, but i love it. admissions counselors are the unsung road warrior heros of the future!
5. i love my boyfriend a lot. and i am one lucky girl....... imagine that?!
